Ned Tonks

I am a Computer Science student approaching the end of my degree, focused on building practical, well-thought-out software through real-world experience. I have a learning-first mindset and enjoy breaking down complex problems, improving systems and processes, and understanding how things work at a deeper level.

Alongside my studies, I have worked across retail and warehousing in both small and large team environments. These roles have helped me develop strong attention to detail, accountability, teamwork and problem-solving skills in fast-paced, real-world settings.

I am drawn to problem domains shaped by real-world constraints and complexity, particularly the intersection of finance and technology. Alongside my Software Development major, I am completing a minor in Finance, with all electives focused on financial subjects, and plan to complete Swinburne’s FinTech minor as well.

Outside of tech, I like to stay active and busy. I enjoy spending time with friends, playing golf, running and going to the gym.
